Overview

Modern drone threats are evolving—becoming smaller, faster, and harder to detect. ARCUS addresses this challenge with a multi-stage detection architecture powered by artificial intelligence, enabling early awareness, accurate classification, and actionable intelligence.

Designed for mobility and resilience, ARCUS transforms from a standard trailer into a fully operational detection unit within minutes. Its elevated platform maximizes coverage, providing a 10–15 km operational detection range, even in complex terrain and extreme weather conditions.

ARCUS is not just a sensor platform—it is a decision-support system, enabling operators to move from detection to action with confidence.

How ARCUS Works

ARCUS operates through a NATO-aligned, multi-stage detection framework that builds situational awareness progressively, ensuring reliable performance in complex and dynamic environments.

1. Detect

ARCUS continuously monitors the airspace to identify anomalies and potential aerial activity at extended ranges. At this stage, the system focuses on wide-area surveillance, detecting deviations from normal environmental patterns. Advanced filtering reduces background noise caused by weather, terrain, or wildlife, allowing the system to generate early cues without overwhelming operators. This stage provides initial awareness, even when confidence levels are still developing.

2. Track

Once an object is detected, ARCUS establishes a consistent track by assigning a unique identifier and monitoring its movement over time. The system analyzes trajectory, speed, and direction to ensure stability and continuity. Through data correlation and fusion, false detections are gradually eliminated, allowing ARCUS to focus on credible and persistent targets. This stage transforms initial detections into reliable movement patterns.

3. Identify

ARCUS applies AI-powered signature analysis and behavioral profiling to classify tracked objects. By leveraging an evolving database of drone signatures and contextual data, the system distinguishes drones from non-threats such as birds or environmental interference. This stage significantly increases confidence by combining multiple data sources and intelligent analysis, ensuring accurate identification of relevant aerial objects.

4. Evaluate

In the final stage, ARCUS assesses the threat level of identified objects based on behavior, direction, and proximity to protected assets. The system analyzes intent, persistence, and movement patterns to prioritize potential threats. AI-driven scoring models generate clear and actionable insights, enabling operators or integrated systems to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.

Applications

ARCUS is designed as a versatile, scalable system capable of supporting a broad spectrum of civilian and defense missions across challenging and remote environments:

Critical Infrastructure Protection

ARCUS provides persistent monitoring and early-warning capabilities for high-value infrastructure, including energy facilities, pipelines, telecommunications networks, and industrial operations. The system enhances situational awareness by detecting and tracking aerial threats such as unauthorized drones, helping operators mitigate risks to safety, operations, and continuity. Its modular and deployable design makes it suitable for both permanent installations and temporary protection during heightened threat periods.

Border & Coastal Surveillance

ARCUS enables wide-area monitoring of remote land borders and maritime environments, where traditional surveillance infrastructure is limited or non-existent. The system supports detection of low-altitude and low-signature aerial activity, improving domain awareness in critical regions such as the Arctic and coastal approaches. Its ability to operate in harsh weather and low-visibility conditions makes it particularly effective for sovereignty, security, and environmental monitoring missions.

Defense & Security Operations

Designed to support modern operational requirements, ARCUS enhances force protection for forward operating bases, temporary deployments, and expeditionary missions. The system provides early warning against uncrewed aerial threats, enabling timely response and decision-making. Its rapid deployment capability and interoperability with existing command-and-control systems make it a valuable asset in dynamic and contested environments.

Remote Industrial Sites

ARCUS delivers reliable security and monitoring for isolated industrial operations, including mining, oil & gas, and large-scale construction projects. These sites often face limited connectivity and infrastructure, making autonomous and low-maintenance systems essential. ARCUS helps protect personnel, equipment, and operations by providing continuous aerial surveillance and threat detection in remote and resource-constrained settings.

Research & Arctic Stations

Scientific installations and Arctic research stations operate in sensitive and often vulnerable environments. ARCUS supports the protection of personnel, equipment, and data by providing continuous monitoring and early detection of aerial intrusions. Its resilience to extreme cold, high winds, and limited infrastructure makes it well-suited for long-term deployment in polar and sub-polar regions, ensuring uninterrupted support for critical research activities.
