Integrated Mobility Across All Domains

Military & Autonomous Vehicle Systems (A/G/M/S)

Advancing Multi-Domain Defence Capability Through Integration and Collaboration

Vectors Defence supports the development, integration, and coordination of military and autonomous vehicle systems across air, ground, maritime, and submarine domains. Our work focuses on building integrated systems, not standalone platforms, enabling coordinated, interoperable operations across multiple environments and mission types.

As a systems integrator, Vectors Defence brings together academic research, industrial innovation, operational insight, and allied standards to help transform emerging technologies into mission-ready capabilities.

Multi-Domain Focus (A/G/M/S)

Vectors Defence supports integration activities across the full spectrum of operational domains:

Air (A): Crewed and autonomous aerial systems supporting surveillance, communications, logistics, and mission support

Ground (G): Military and autonomous ground vehicles operating in complex and remote environments

Maritime (M): Crewed and uncrewed surface vessels supporting maritime security, awareness, and operational support

Submarine (S): Autonomous underwater and subsurface systems for sensing, monitoring, and specialized missions

Across all domains, our focus remains on interoperability, reliability, and alignment with operational requirements.

A Systems-of-Systems Approach

Modern defence operations increasingly rely on the coordination of multiple platforms—crewed and autonomous—operating simultaneously across domains. Vectors Defence applies a systems-of-systems approach to ensure that vehicle platforms operate as part of a cohesive operational architecture rather than as isolated assets.

Our integration activities include:
  • Mission system architecture and alignment
  • Sensor and payload integration
  • Communications and data exchange frameworks
  • Command and control interfaces
  • Interoperability and standards alignment
This approach supports resilient, scalable, and adaptable capabilities suitable for both national and allied operations.

Collaboration with Canadian Universities and SMEs

Vectors Defence works closely with Canadian universities and research institutions to leverage advanced research, emerging technologies, and engineering expertise. Academic partnerships play a critical role in advancing autonomy, sensing, communications, and control systems.

We also collaborate with Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that provide specialized platforms, components, and technical capabilities. By integrating SME innovation into broader system architectures, we help strengthen Canada’s defence industrial base and accelerate capability development.

Allied and International Interoperability

Vectors Defence supports interoperability with international allies, recognizing that modern defence operations are often conducted in coalition environments. Our systems integration activities consider allied standards, interoperability frameworks, and multi-national coordination requirements.

By aligning system architectures with allied expectations, we help ensure that Canadian capabilities can operate effectively alongside partner nations when required.

Engagement with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)

Operational relevance is central to our approach. Vectors Defence engages with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to ensure that system integration activities align with real-world operational needs, environments, and constraints.

CAF engagement helps inform:
  • Operational use cases
  • Environmental and logistical considerations
  • Integration and validation pathways
  • Readiness and deployment requirements

This collaboration ensures that integrated systems are designed with practical application in mind.

Crewed–Autonomous Teaming

The integration of autonomous systems is not about replacing human operators, but about enhancing their effectiveness. Vectors Defence supports crewed–autonomous teaming, where autonomous platforms extend reach, improve situational awareness, and reduce risk, while human operators retain oversight and decision authority.

This balanced approach supports responsible adoption of autonomy in defence and security operations.

Strengthening Canadian Defence Capability

Through collaboration, integration, and alignment with national priorities, Vectors Defence contributes to the development of resilient, interoperable vehicle systems that support Canada’s defence, security, and allied commitments.

Our role is to connect capability—across institutions, industries, and domains—into systems that are greater than the sum of their parts.
